The common name: Harry Lauder’s walking stick, is also known as a Corkscrew hazel Genus: Corylus This upright, tree-like shrub has heart-shaped, toothed, mid-green leaves. Its yellow catkins are borne in late winter and early spring. Heavely twisted, spiraling shoots provide year-round interest.

Care:This plant grows in fertile, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. The best soil type is an alkaline soil. Prune out any unwanted suckers.
